Scratchbuilding: Renault models
Renault is a car manufacturer that has always been present in my life. My father worked at the Renault factory in Valladolid and all the cars that have passed through my house are Renault models, including my current car. As a child I remember the amount of "fourpots" who had the neighbours in the village where I lived, the sound of the R8 engine, or the exotic model Fuego. I also devoured the magazines edited by the manufacturer for their workers, in which they spoke of improvements in the factory for the production of new models like the "supercinco", or the Renault 9 and 11, the launch of the stunning Alpine A610, or the Renault 21, with its digital dashboard that at the time was something about spaceships. As for sporting aspects they talked about the successes of the turbo engine in Formula 1, the first Alain Prost victory, or the first steps of Carlos Sainz in the Castilla rally championship with the Renault 5 maxiturbo. Not forgetting, of course, retrospectives of legendary models like the 4/4 or the Dauphine among others.
Therefore, it was inevitable to pay tribute to some of the models that I like from the manufacturer and those are presented here.
